Team Church Kids

Well, I am back from the beach.  I had a blast hanging with my family and just enjoying all the stuff at the beach…especially ice cream at Calabash Creamery!  One of the things that I have always enjoyed about the beach is the breeze that comes off the ocean.  I like to sit on the deck and enjoy the cool breeze in my face.  Something that I never really noticed until this year, was that I wasn’t having to swat at bugs buzzing around in the air.  I realized that the breeze keeps them away because they are not strong enough or heavy enough to handle it.  It got me thinking that the ocean breeze is a lot like the voice of God…if we keep His voice in our hearts and Word (Bible) always before us, we can handle the temptations (bugs) of this world a lot easier.  When we don’t have the voice of God and His Word in our heart, the bugs tend to be able to get to us.

This week will be a short blog, so I will just let you that I am sitting at the beach enjoying my vacation, but will be back for church this coming Sunday.

If you didn’t get the chance to go to Summer Camp this year, I want to encourage you to make sure you don’t miss it next year.  We had such a good time.  We took the biggest group of kids this year!  We had 66 kids go along with 10 leaders.  We had a blast playing in the lake, climbing the wall, and playing with our friends!  Our theme this year was “The Road Less Traveled”, and we discussed how we need to make the uncommon choice in order to experience all that God has for us.
