Team Church Kids

A common question someone gets asked when they try to enter a movie theater, get into an amusement park, go to a concert or enter a sporting event.  WHY?  Because those things cost money and you have to have a bought a ticket to get in!  One day we are going to get asked that same question when we are standing at the entrance to heaven wanting to get in.  Will you have your ticket?  Where do you get a ticket to get into heaven?  Does one even exist?  In the book of John, chapter 14 verse 6, Jesus says, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one can come to the Father except through me.”  In other words, Jesus says that He is the ticket…if we have Jesus we have Jesus we have our ticket!  Do you have your ticket?

With Thanksgiving upon us, it brings to mind things like turkey, stuffing, potatoes, pumpkin pie and hanging with family.  Thanksgiving is a holiday that is supposed to be a reminder for us to give thanks for the things we have in life.  Do you give thanks at Thanksgiving?  More importantly, do you give thanks the other 364 days of the year?  Do you remember to tell people thank you for all they do for you, not just on Thanksgiving, but everyday?  I believe that we enjoy life more when we realize just how good we have it.  We cherish each day and savor each moment, when we take time to realize how much God has blessed us.  Remember this week when you are out of school and work celebrating the Thanksgiving Holiday, that life is good and worth living to the fullest, and we can only do that when we take time to give thanks for it!  Go check out 1st Thessalonians 5 verses 16 – 18.  These are the STAR verses, copy them down and return them on Sunday!

I am printing off tickets for the Little Blue Choo Choo which will be coming to Team Church on Sunday December 6th.  This is going to be a very fun morning for you to invite your friends to come ride with you.  This Sunday don’t forget to grab a few tickets to invite your friends to this event.  The bible doesn’t contain any trains but it does talk about “training.”  My favorite verse about kids and training is found in Proverbs 22:6.  Go find this verse and write it down and bring it on Sunday for a prize!
